Because I watch A&E's "Sell This House" all the time, I know that you're supposed to use a mixture of water and fabric softner to remove wallpaper. And it helps to score the wallpaper so the solution soaks in better. I know this handy info is too late for you, but maybe it will help one of your faithful readers! :)
Note: I've never tried fabric softner to remove wallpaper, so I don't know how well it actually works. Supposedly, however, it works just as well as wallpaper-removal solution that you can buy at the store for five times as much.
