Zinc Plating
Sherri saves the day!
In a heated discussion with a business manager, 2 engineers, and Dave about the probability of whether or not the standoffs provided by Mid States were zinc plated or not, I got to save the day! :)
I went on the internet and researched plating methods. Everyone was in agreement that these standoffs had tin in the plating. I found out here that there is a tin-zinc plating, so, technically these are zinc plated, and acceptable per print.
I love it when I get to look smart. I even got high-fives from the engineers. (Yes, horribly uncool, but, look what I have to work with.)
And, yes, I don't feel like doing any work right now, so, you get to hear all about my day. Lucky you!

Oh, btw, that engineer that I chucked paperballs at earlier is one of the engineers who were involved in the discussion. I may have redeemed myself. (crossing fingers)
On second thought, I'm listening to his conversation right now, he sounds like a moron. He's talking about drinking alcohol from the ionic tester. Yikes! I'm not so worried now about his perception of my intelligence anymore.
