Sherri who??

I'm surprised you guys still remember me!

A lot has happened since my last post.

The baby has not come yet, even though I am more then ready to get it over with already! November 19th is just right around the corner, I've made it this long, I'm sure I can last til then. I have officially crossed the line in regards to the gestational diabetes, as of the week before last I now do daily insulin shots to help control my glucose levels. As horrible and nightmarish as it sounds to be forced to give yourself injections in the stomach, it's really not that bad. Something I'm glad I don't have to do for the rest of my life, but I can think of a lot worse to be doing to myself. In fact, I would rather do an insulin injection right now then the daily monitoring of my blood. Oddly enough, the finger poke is actually more painful then the injection, and I have to do the finger poke 6 times a day.

On the work front, this is my last week of employment here at Kimball. I am actually looking forward to getting out of here Friday, the days have become so long with nothing to fill them. While I still come to work everyday and collect a pay check every week, I haven't actually done any 'real' work in months. It sickens me to see how Jasper has started to pick us clean, all the while requesting we send our employees down there to teach them how to do our jobs. It was announced last week that our sister facility, in Hibbing, would be shutting down as well. I know it will only be a matter of time before the former corporate office, in Florida, is shut down.

To Kimball our corporation was a pile of steaks on a BBQ, just waiting to be picked off and fed to their own ailing plants.

All I can say is, what comes around goes around, and I hope with all my might they fall flat on there faces with embarrassment and lack of skill. I can't help but smile a little when I see the Kimball stock has plummeted from over $29 a share to around $12 a share.

It warms my heart to hear the customers who were taken from my facility are not pleased with Jasper's performance, to date, and have actually started looking elsewhere. Bitter and disgruntled, I know, but I can't help hating a corporation who could stand before us and lie right through their teeth to us.

One good thing that has come from all of this is the possibility of schooling for me. I have taken the bull by the horns and made this an actuality for me. I'm enrolled in the winter term just chomping at the bit to be able to register and sign up for classes. I can't wait!

And, I'll be able to spend a good portion of my days at home with Hannah. Something I was not able to do with my boys.

Granted, things could be better, but, I'm ok with how everything is at the moment. They could be a whole lot worse too.

Thanks Vodka!

Jessica, I've already looked at the winter schedule and picked my classes. I'll be going online tomorrow when registration opens up to save my seat. 2 are online, 2 are in gaylord, 1 in petoskey.

My second child is named Hannah. She is now the mother of my only grandchild :)

I'm happy for you. Enjoy the birth of your new child. My Sweetie's first grandchild was born on Oct 23 to his eldest daughter in Hawaii... the baby Fionn Joy came an entire month early... imagine that! Good luck with your birth - and I'm just so happy for you. My sister had the gestational diabetes, and after 4 children, the diabetes has actually come home to roost for reals. This is unfortunate as she is a missionary and lives with her 4 kids and hubby in Albania, where the medical community is not what it should be. She is a tough gal.

Sounds like you're not bitter at all...

Seriously, it sounds like furthering your education was what you wanted to do all along anyway, so that's great for you.

Just take it easy. Hannah could be making her grand appearance at any moment.

Nice to see that you are well and school is on the horizon. I know that bigger and better things are in store for you and yours. Take care.
