I never thought I would see the day when......
I would be eligible for an AARP card at the age of 33.
But the day has come, and I've actually received the card in the mail already! A lesson to you all - this is what happens when you marry a man that's 17 years older then you!

Technically, anyone is eligible for an AARP card. They're not allowed to discriminate based on age. Bob received his first offer for an AARP card when he was 23 years old. Obviously, neither of us was anywhere near 50. If he'd have signed up and paid his dues, he could've had the card!
Similarly, retirement communities in Florida are not allowed to completely discriminate based on age. A certain percentage of residents must be younger than retirement age, which explains how my parents got a Florida retirement home in their forties. Go figure!
That is nuts! I think I would cry, all right not really cry, but geesh!
Holy cow! You're 33?
